What To Expect From Your Media Coaching Session
This is going to be dependent on the package that you purchase from us. I will, however, use this space to cover absolutely everything that I offer here. If there is something in particular that you are interested in, feel free to contact us.
On-Camera Technique
This is the ‘bread and butter’ package that I offer here. If you are going to get a media training package from us, it will always include on-camera technique training. The length of this training will, of course, be dependent on the package that you opt for.
With on-camera training, I will constantly be analyzing your technique to see how Ill you cope with on-camera work. If there are any issues with your technique, or areas where you can improve (there always will be areas in which you can improve), then I will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. After all, I want to make sure that you leave our charge feeling absolutely fantastic about the way in which you appear on camera. Even if you have never presented on camera before, you can be sure that when you work with us, you will be acting like a pro in next to no time at all.
Throughout the on-camera training, I will constantly provide you with recordings and playback of your technique. This will allow you to see how you act and provide you with ideas on where you can focus your improvement.
Teleprompter Training Sessions
This is included in two of our larger packages. If you are going to work as a presenter, then you will need to know how to use a teleprompter. There is no company out there which has the ability to ‘train people’ how to use a teleprompter on the job. You could be the best presenter in the world, but if you do not know how to use this valuable piece of equipment then you just are not going to be hired.
Our training sessions will focus on you being able to use the teleprompter naturally. This means ensuring that it does not look like you are actually reading from a prompt. If you can master this technique, then you will find that your chances of being recruited for a position that you are interested in will rise drastically.
Sound Bites and Talking Points
As a presenter, you are going to need to learn how to work ‘on the fly’. Improvisation does go out of the window from time to time, sadly. This is where sound bites and talking points come into play. These techniques are absolutely vital as it ensures that you always have something to say. If you can keep the conversation flowing, particularly during an interview or during a monologue, then you are going to be fantastic as a host. In fact, much of what you do will be made that much better by mastering this technique.
Of course, I will work closely with you to refine the techniques that you learn here. I will help you work it into everything else that you say in a bid to ensure that it sounds as natural as possible!
Simulated News, Talk Show, Press Junket Appearances
What I focus on here will be completely up to you. It will, of course, be based around the area that you wish to focus on during your career. As I have a huge amount of experience in the industry, I will be able to craft a situation that you are most likely to encounter on your job. You will, of course, be put under a lot of pressure. You are going to have to get used to dealing with pressure, after all. There are a few reasons as to why I will run you through a simulation.
These are:
- To help bring together the techniques that you have been working on with us.
- To prove to you that you are actually able to do it.
You will be surprised at how many people out there lack the confidence that they need to be successful in the industry. I don’t want that to happen to you. This is why I are going to demonstrate that you really can accomplish absolutely everything that you set your mind to.
To highlight any areas where you may be especially weak. By identifying these Weaknesses, I will be able to provide you with coaching which will allow you to improve in those areas. Through this coaching, you will become far more confident in your technique. Honestly, if you bear our tips in mind, you will find that they will help you throughout the rest of your media career.
Follow-up Media Coaching Sessions
The type and length of follow-up help that you receive after you have worked with us will be dependent on the package that you opt for. For example, if you opt for our maximum package, you will benefit from unlimited email support and a one-hour follow-up session. During the follow-up sessions, I will be able to ansIr any questions that you may have, catch up on how you are progressing with your media career and, of course, provide you with helpful advice that you can utilize to become the best host that you possibly can be.
